  • What is Little Swaps?

    Little Swaps is a marketplace and app designed for parents to buy and sell gently used kids’ items, including clothes, toys, books, and baby gear. Our platform emphasizes safety, convenience, and sustainability by giving pre-loved items a second life.

    How does Little Swaps work?

    • Create an Account: Download the Little Swaps app from the app store and sign up.

    • To Buy: Browse listings, select the item you want, and complete the purchase.

    • To Sell: List your items on the app, and arrange delivery once your item is sold.

    Is Little Swaps free to use?

    Creating an account and posting items is free. There is a commission fee for each sale to support platform operations. Our commission structure is as follows:

    • Standard Commission: 15% of the sale price or $3.50 per item. For items listed at $23 or less, a flat commission of $3.50 applies, all other items will have our regular 15% commission.

    • Minimum product price: Products for sale must be priced at $5 or more in order to be posted.

    Using the Platform

    How do I review and edit my profile?

    1. Sign into your Little Swaps account.

    2. Go to “Account” on the main screen.

    3. Click “See profile” or “Edit profile” at the top, right under your name.

    4. Make changes and click “Update” to save them.

  • To maintain quality and safety, please adhere to the following guidelines:

    • Condition: Items must preferably be in gently used, like-new, or new condition—no stains, rips, heavy wear, missing parts, or damage. Everything should be clean and ready for another family to love.

      • New With Tags: Your item has never been worn and the original hanging tags are still on. For this option, you’ll need to take pictures of the retail tags."

      • Like New: Your item has never been worn (other than perhaps trying it on), but the tags have been removed. There are no quirks or issues whatsoever.

      • Used - In good condition: Your item has only been lightly used and has been extremely well maintained. There may be some small signs of wear, but nothing major.

      • Used - But Plenty Of Life Left: Item shows noticeable signs of wear but despite its imperfections, it remains functional and wearable, offering substantial use to its next owner. All flaws should be clearly described and photographed to ensure transparency.

    • Quality: We do not accept fast fashion or low-quality items that don’t last. This includes brands like Shein, Temu, and similar ultra-fast fashion labels. Some retailers, like Target, sell both well-made and low-quality items—only durable, high-quality pieces should be listed.

    • Safety: Items that contain harmful chemicals, recalled products, or anything known to be toxic for children are prohibited. Parents are responsible for checking product safety before listing. For more details, visit the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website.

    • Toys & Gear: We accept toys, baby gear, and other children’s essentials—as long as they are in great condition and fully functional. All pieces must be included, and items must meet safety standards. Recalled items are not permitted.

    • Listing Details: All listings must include clear, accurate photos and descriptions. Everything must be clean and in good shape—no heavily worn or damaged items. Pricing should reflect quality and condition (New, Like New, Gently Used).

    • Seasonal Items: You can list items year-round, no matter the season. If it’s in great condition, it’s welcome on Little Swaps!

  • At Little Swaps, safety is our top priority. We are committed to building a secure and trustworthy community by implementing multiple safety measures, including:

    • Ratings and Reviews: Users can rate and review transactions to build transparency and trust.

    • ID Verification: To enhance security, sellers and buyers may go through an identity verification process.

    • Secure Payment System: Payments are processed securely within the app, and funds are only released once the buyer confirms receipt of the item.

    • Dispute Resolution Support: In the rare event of an issue, our support team is ready to step in and help resolve disputes to protect both buyers and sellers.

    How do I report an issue with a user or transaction?

    • Email Support: Contact us at support@littleswaps.com. We’ll investigate and take appropriate action.

    • In-App Reporting: Go to "Account" - Order History, Select the product in question and click on "Problems/Order Inquiry" option. We’ll investigate and take appropriate action.

  • Are there any fees for selling on Little Swaps?

    How do I get paid?

    We use Stripe Connect, to securely process payments at Little Swaps. Stripe Connect is the trusted payment platform that allows us to securely transfer funds to your bank account.

    Once the item is delivered and confirmed by the carrier (USPS, UPS, or FedEx), you’ll see your earnings reflected in your account.

    To receive payments as a seller, you need to onboard to Stripe Connect in our platform. This is only necessary after you have made a sale.

    How to Onboard with Stripe on Little Swaps:

    • Go to the Earnings Screen

    • Open the Little Swaps app and navigate to the Earnings section.

      This is where you can track your sales and payments.

      2. Click on “Onboard with Stripe”

    • You will see an option to Onboard with Stripe—tap this button to start the process.

      This will redirect you to Stripe’s secure onboarding page.

      3. Complete Stripe’s Onboarding Process

    Stripe will ask for some personal and business details to verify your account, including:

    • Full name

    • Email address

    • Phone number

    • Bank account or debit card details for payouts

    • Social Security Number (SSN) or EIN (if applicable) for identity verification

    • Date of birth (for identity verification)

    • A valid government-issued ID may be required in some cases

    4. Review and Submit

    • After entering your details, review the information carefully and submit the form.

    • After onboarding is complete, you can receive earnings directly into your linked bank account according to Stripe’s payout schedule.

    How do I pay for items?

    You can pay using credit/debit cards and Apple Pay. Funds are released to the seller after delivery confirmation.

  • How do I ship an item?

    Once your item sells, here’s what to do:

    1. Get Your Prepaid Label

      We’ll email you a prepaid, pre-addressed shipping label. If you don’t see it right away, be sure to check your spam folder.

      You can also find it in "My Sales" in your profile menu in the Little Swaps App.

    2. Package Your Item

      Secure your item in a sturdy box or envelope. Make sure it’s snug and ready for its next adventure!

    3. Print and attach the label to the package.

      Please make sure you have access to a printer or that the carrier will be able to print the label on site. i.e: USPS doesn’t offer this service.

    4. Ship within 3 business days

      Tape the label to your package and drop it off with the shipping carrier.

    You have 3 business days to ship. If you don’t, the buyer can cancel, and you could lose the sale and your earnings.

    Is shipping free?

    No, the buyer covers the shipping cost, which is included in the total purchase price during checkout. The buyer can choose their preferred shipping option during checkout. The seller can use the funds from the purchase to handle shipping.

    How do I know my product has been shipped?

    You will receive a notification with tracking information as soon as available.

    What happens if my product is not shipped within 3 days of purchase?

    If a seller does not ship a product within 3 days of purchase, the buyer can cancel the order and get a full refund by contacting support@littleswaps.com.

  • Can I return an item?

    We do not accept returns since most items are second-hand. However, you can open a dispute within 48 hours if the item does not match its description.

    How do I open a dispute?

    • Email Support: support@littleswaps.com.

    • In-App Reporting: Go to "Account" - Order History, Select the product in question and click on "Problems/Order Inquiry" option. We’ll investigate and take appropriate action.

  • Is my information safe on Little Swaps?

    Yes, we use industry-standard encryption to protect your data. Personal information, such as your address and payment details, remains private.

    Can other users see my personal details?

    No, only your username and general location (city or zip code) are visible.

  • Can I negotiate prices?

    No, prices are fixed to ensure transparency and fairness for buyers and sellers.

    Are there restrictions on items I can sell?

    Yes, Little Swaps is a dedicated marketplace exclusively for baby and kids' items. Items unrelated to babies or children will not be approved. Additionally, we have specific guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of listed items. Please adhere to our Listing Guidelines & Item Standards to maintain a safe and high-quality marketplace for all our users.

    How do I delete my account?

    Go to your profile, scroll down, and select "Delete Account." You will have 3 months to reactivate your account by logging back in. After that period, the deletion becomes irreversible.
